Handcrafted Products by Pedro G.
I have decided to offer some of my creations to other 1602/2002 enthusiasts.
All my products are for race use only and carry no warranties. They are made by hand (me) here in the USA. Mostly built to your order! If you have any questions email me anytime!
Everything I sell, I race on and test before making it available for purchase. I use only the highest quality Alcoa aluminum and Miller welding equipment. Some of the products in development will be designed in SolidWorks 3D modeling software then stress tested and analyzed using CosmosWorks Software.
I ship UPS and you receive a tracking number once it ships.
M10 Racing Valve cover
On High revving M10 motors with higher lift cams (304, 316, 336) the oil from the oil spray bar and the spinning cam helps atomize the oil in the head and tends to leave the stock oil breather location at an alarming rate! Some even have reported up to a quart every other track session or a quart after a full day of auto-x'ing. Even tough this is more of a problem on 316 or 336 cams above 7000rpms I decided to do this on my engine since even I, have experienced some oil loss with my 304 cam.
After extensive research on the web, racetracks and personally analyzing what other club racers have done to correct the problem. I have designed a few modifications to the stock valve cover to cure this problem for good!
My design blocks off the stock breather location, extends the oil filler, baffles it then incorporates a large hose for proper venting of pressures to a catch tank.
First step is sandblast the cover, then carefully cut the stock neck, cut the tubes, prepare them for welding, weld, cut the hole for the fitting, weld that. Then fabricating the baffles and welding those on. Optionally I can sand the raised sections to polish them a bit, then mask them, and spray paint it with Krinkle coat.
It takes allot of work for it to look and work this good!

I have a few different options on pricing. ALL prices are for modifying customer supplied cover. Once you pay ship me your valve cover for modification. Expect turnaround time of about a week. If I have to supply the cover, I will just add the price of the valve cover once I find one for you.
Also Specify the location of the vent fitting on the filler neck (..mine are at 6 o'clock). Most customers choose the 12 o'clock location. Fittings are 12an unless requested otherwise.
Modified Racing Valve Cover *no paint-clean sandblasted finish* $150.00
Modified Racing Valve Cover w/ Polished details and Black Krinkle paint (as pictured above) $200.00
Oil Catch Tank
A necessary compliment to my valve cover or especially stock valve covers!
I can replicate my design for you or make your own custom design!
Carefully fabricated in with Alcoa Aluminium, Earl's/XRP fittings and only the best Miller Welders!
For a custom design...
Just purchase some poster board and construct your catch can. Then flatten it and mail it to me. I can then replicate it exactly to your design!

If you choose to make a custom catch tank expect the price to be more than my design. My simple rectangular design is straightforward and I can easily replicate it, so the more complex the design the more time I have to spend on the more it might cost. My prices are reasonable once a deposit is received and I can evaluate your design I will give you a quote. Anytime before I start you may cancel for a full refund.
BMW1602.com Standard Design - Oil Catch Tank $80.00

Reinforced Front Control Arms
Many 1602/2002 racers have been doing this for years. Some have stiched the seams other added plates. I use both methods to creat a bulletproof control arm. Suitable for rally cars to circuit racers like myself.
After some research, I decided to stich weld or add a few seam welds in a few key areas. In addition I added 2 dimpled 16 ga plates. Both my control arms were bent when I pulled them of my race car...I'm positive this will no longer happend with the reinforced unit.
It takes alot of work to produce this high quality racing part. First we sandblast the part then after fixturing to prevent warping the arm is seam welded. The reinforcement plates then need to be cut out from sheet metal and dimpled. Then the are formed to the shape of the arm and tacked into place. Again after more fixturing to prevent any warping the final welding takes place.
It takes allot of work for it to look and work this good!

Also If you desire we can add 4 plates instead of the normal 2, thereby fully boxing the arms. Good option for rally cars.

Reinforced Rear Trailing Arms
Many 1602/2002 racers have been doing this for years. Typically called "boxing". Now unless you can find yourself a nice new set of factory boxed Tii arms you'll have to "box" your trailing arms yourself. I seen many other people doing it many ways....I think my design looks good and more importantly very stiff and strong. Suitable for rally cars to circuit racers like myself.
I added a dimpled die'd 16 ga plate. I made one of the dimple holes line up with the brake lines holes for easy of installation. Once again fixturing/jigging is the name of the game here. The last thing you want is bent reinforced arms that are useless. Welding tends to warp/shrink everything.
It takes alot of work to produce this high quality racing part. First we sandblast the arm then we paint the inside to prevent rusiting. The reinforcement plates then need to be cut out from sheet metal and dimpled. Then the are formed to the shape of the arm and tacked into place. Again after more fixturing to prevent any warping the final welding takes place.
It takes allot of work for it to look and work this good!

Also If you desire we can add a bar across as the M-Coupe arms do. Good option for rally cars. Not also necessary.

Solid Rear Subframe Bushings
Many 1602/2002 racers have been doing this for years. Basically achived by removing all rubber from the bushing. Welding plates to the top and the bottom then welding the metal insert to create a solid subframe bushing.
This is most definatly a racing part for race use only. This would be sooo harsh!!!! This keeps the rear subframe from moving and helps maintain proper rear end alignment during heavy cornering.
It very imprortant to have solid welds on this part. It is also tig welded like my other parts.
It takes allot of work for it to look and work this good!
